Wilten Dunstable Site – Opening Doors for All

At our Wilten Dunstable site, we recently had the pleasure of welcoming 16 students from The Chiltern School, an inclusive all-through special school for young people aged 3 to 19 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The visit began with students viewing the site from a safe area, where they were able to see real, live construction in progress. This sparked lots of curiosity and enthusiasm, with many thoughtful questions about the work taking place and the different roles within the industry.

Afterwards, our Project Manager and Site Manager gave an engaging presentation about the project and explained the various stages of construction.

The students’ feedback at the end of the day was fantastic: “great, we had lots of fun, and learnt lots!” A few even said they were now thinking about pursuing careers in construction.

At Wilten, we aim to inspire people and create opportunities for all, delivering social value for local communities. Welcoming The Chiltern School to our site was a reminder of how important it is to make our industry accessible to everyone.
