Milestone Celebrated at Caxton Road, Bedford

Wilten Construction welcomed clients Paloma Capital and Graftongate, together with UMC Architects, Wakemans Limited, and MJM Consulting Engineers, to Caxton Road, Bedford, to celebrate a significant construction milestone and recognise the progress achieved during the first 23 weeks of the programme.
The milestone ceremony brought the project team together to see the former E.ON site being transformed into a modern industrial and logistics hub. With the envelope works now nearing completion across the site, our focus is increasingly moving inside to progress with the internal works.
Unit 300 has progressed into the internal fit-out stage, with intumescent painting underway within the warehouse
Unit 200 is approximately 80% complete on cladding, with mechanical first-fix works now in progress.
Unit 150 continues to take shape, with cladding reaching around 60% completion and grading works underway in preparation for the floor slab
Designed to meet the needs of today's occupiers, the scheme will provide an 87,326 sqft multi-unit industrial development, comprising three high-quality industrial units with integrated CAT A office accommodation. The scheme is targeting BREEAM Excellent certification through the incorporation of low and zero carbon technologies and sustainable construction practices.
As work progresses, the team remains focused on delivering this high-quality, sustainable industrial scheme that will support future business growth and investment within Bedford's established industrial market.
