Wilten celebrated a strong showing at this year’s Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Awards, with another outstanding year of recognition reinforcing our commitment to delivering construction excellence responsibly and considerately across all our sites.
The CCS continues to set the benchmark for best practice within the industry, assessing standards that go beyond build quality alone — including safety, environmental stewardship, community engagement and workforce wellbeing. Our continued success reflects the values that underpin everything we do.
At the 2026 CCS National Site Awards, several Wilten projects were recognised at a national level, marking the second consecutive year our teams have achieved this prestigious acknowledgement.
This year saw Wilten awarded with a total of 8 awards across the three levels, in comparison to the two bronze awards received in 2025, outperforming many of the Tier 1 Contractors who attended both the Manchester and London events.

Stand‑Out Results – Q1 2026
Wilten has started 2026 with exceptional performance under the CCS, delivering scores that significantly exceed industry benchmarks. These early‑year results highlight the strength of our site leadership, workforce engagement, and consistent commitment to best practice.
For Wilten, these results are not simply accolades — they represent a consistent culture of accountability, professionalism and respect that we strive to uphold on every project, regardless of size or location.
The following outstanding and excellent scores demonstrate Wilten’s commitment to the built environment, delivering high quality schemes that enhance surrounding areas, prioritise the wellbeing of the workforce and stakeholders, and go the extra mile to deliver lasting social value in the community.

Achieving scores above the maximum available (45) demonstrates our teams’ dedication to exceeding expectations — not only in compliance, but in how our sites operate day‑to‑day for the benefit of workers, communities, and the wider environment.
Setting the Industry Standard – Doing it Better
Wilten continues to demonstrate that industry‑leading performance is driven by culture, consistency, and accountability. Our CCS results repeatedly place us at, and often above, the standards typically associated with Tier 1 Contractors, proving that excellence is delivered on site, day in and day out.
By embedding high workforce standards, clear communication, and environmental responsibility into every stage of our projects, we are not just meeting expectations — we are exceeding them. Scores that surpass the scheme’s maximum benchmarks reflect the strength of our leadership, the professionalism of our teams, and our unwavering focus on doing it better.
As the industry evolves and standards are raised, Wilten is proud to be driving that change — setting a benchmark for responsible construction and showing that best practice is defined by performance, not perception.
Naim Basha Wilten Construction Director / Co-Founder, commented:
"As we continue through 2026 and beyond, we remain focused on raising the bar even further, learning from, adopting, and sharing best practice, and continuing to deliver projects for our clients and communities that we can all be proud of — not just for what we build, but how we build it".
Mario Wilten, HSEQ Manager at Wilten Construction, commented:
“We are absolutely delighted with this recognition. It is a real credit to our site teams who consistently go the extra mile to operate safely, responsibly and considerately every single day. It’s inspiring to see so many organisations committed to improving standards across our industry. We would also like to thank the Considerate Constructors Scheme for delivering such fantastic events in both Manchester and London.”
Moving Forward
Looking ahead, Wilten fully supports the CCS’s evolving scoring model, which places an increased focus on raised workforce standards and wellbeing across construction sites.
From May 2026, the updated CCS introduces a clearer, fairer, and more transparent approach to measuring site performance across Community, Environment, and Workforce. The move to a percentage‑based scoring model, alongside clearer expectations and minimum conformance baselines, provides greater consistency, comparability and confidence for projects of all sizes.
While the updated Code and Checklist are largely familiar, the refinements bring stronger alignment with client expectations, recognised industry frameworks, and social value reporting, as well as an increased focus on workforce wellbeing, skills development, inclusivity, and environmental preparedness. These enhancements support a more evidence‑based approach, helping teams better understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and demonstrate positive outcomes on site.
We welcome the introduction of the new CCS model and look forward to continuing to perform strongly under its new framework. The clearer structure, improved digital tools, and focus on continuous improvement align closely with our existing priorities and business improvement plans. As the Scheme evolves, we remain fully committed to raising industry standards, delivering responsibly for communities and the environment, and supporting a safe, respectful, and inclusive construction workforce.
