Wilten Construction has secured a further project with repeat client Legal & General, and will deliver the scheme in collaboration with JLL, UMC Architects, and Fairhurst, having been appointed to design and build Unit W30, Verey Road, Dunstable, a new 115,000 sqft industrial and logistics facility.

Working in collaboration with the above parties, we will redevelop the site to create a modern warehouse and logistics centre, providing high-quality and efficient employment space alongside first and second floor office accommodation. Designed to meet the demands of the industrial and logistics sector, the scheme will incorporate a best-in-class specification including 12 dock level access doors, 18 dedicated HGV parking spaces, 113 car parking bays, and six accessible parking spaces.

Sustainability forms a key part of the development, which is targeting BREEAM Excellent certification. Unit W30 will feature roof-mounted photovoltaic panels, low and zero-carbon technologies, sustainable materials, and green infrastructure, helping to reduce operational carbon while enhancing environmental performance. Extensive tree and shrub planting will also be introduced across the site to support biodiversity and make a positive contribution to the local environment.

The scheme will further support the transition to electric vehicles, with 20% of parking spaces equipped with EV charging facilities and a further 20% provided with passive infrastructure to enable future installation.

The project represents another significant addition to Wilten Construction's growing industrial and logistics portfolio and reinforces the strong working relationship developed with Legal & General.
