Wilten Secures Third Project with Graftongate at G Park, Swindon

Wilten is delighted to announce the award of another project with repeat client Graftongate, marking our third scheme in the last three years. This latest instruction further strengthens our ongoing partnership and reflects a shared commitment to delivering high-quality, future-ready industrial developments, through collaborative working.




Project Overview

The scheme at G Park, Swindon, involves the design and build of a best-in-class industrial and logistics facility totalling 80,920 sqft. Designed to meet the evolving demands of occupiers, the single unit will deliver exceptional operational efficiency alongside market-leading sustainability credentials.


Key features of the development include:

  • High-specification design tailored for modern industrial occupiers

  • Single storey warehouse with integral first floor office accommodation with CAT A fit-out

  • Clear internal height of 12.5m, maximising storage capacity

  • 16 dock doors to support efficient logistics operations

  • 2 level access doors for increased flexibility


With a construction value of £7.9 million, the project is being delivered in collaboration with Graftongate, Knight Webb, UMC Architects and Burrows Graham, ensuring excellence across design, engineering, and execution.


Developing Sustainable Futures

Sustainability sits at the heart of the scheme, aligning with Wilten and Graftongate’s shared vision to deliver responsible, future-proof developments that:

The project is targeting BREEAM Excellent and EPC A+ ratings, demonstrating a strong commitment to reducing environmental impact, with a comprehensive range of sustainability initiatives incorporated, including:

  • Adoption of renewable and low-carbon technologies to minimise emissions

  • Commitment to 100% PV-ready infrastructure, enabling future solar installation

  • Installation of 9 EV charging bays to support the transition to electric vehicles

  • Integration of natural lighting, reducing energy consumption and enhancing workplace wellbeing

  • External landscaping and safe pedestrian walkways, promoting user safety and biodiversity

  • Provision of cycle shelters to encourage sustainable commuting

In addition, responsible construction practices will focus on reducing energy and fuel usage, minimising waste, land use & ecology, health & wellbeing, and improving resource efficiency throughout the build process,


Supporting the Local Community

Beyond environmental considerations, the scheme prioritises social value. Wilten and its project partners will work collaboratively with the local community, delivering:

  • Engagement with schools and colleges to inspire future talent

  • Supporting community groups / charities with in-kind donations

  • Engagement with diverse community groups, ensuring that our initiatives are inclusive and representative of the community’s needs.
