BREEAM V7 - What it means for Wilten and the Industry

Partnering with our Sustainability Consultants, including RedSix, Envision, and MBA, who are all pioneering sustainability in the built environment, #TeamWilten is fully prepared to implement the changes that are coming under the new BREEAM Version 7.

BREEAM V7 will require working even closer with client and consultant teams from pre-construction stage to ensure:

  • Embodied carbon assessments for Excellent and Outstanding projects

  • The stage 2 design has captured new and updated credits across multiple categories

The industry will benefit from the new version through:

  • Alignment with Net Zero targets, ESG Goals, and EU Taxonomy

  • Better performing buildings that focus on whole life carbon and enhance the wellbeing of users

The in-house design resource we maintain and nurture means we are fully equipped to adopt the changes and continue to achieve BREEAM Very Good, Excellent, and Outstanding for the projects we deliver.

Two design team members have recently become BREEAM Accredited Professionals (BREEAM APs) to support the change in criteria for Man 01 Project Brief & Design and Man 03 Responsible Construction. This accreditation demonstrates their specialist skills in sustainability and design, combined with their competence for the BREEAM Assessment Process.

Congratulations to these accredited professionals who will provide our client teams with expert advice on the built environment, sustainability, and environmental assessment!

Are you prepared for BREEAM V7 and can our in-house experts provide any advice? Let us know and one of our BREEAM APs to get in contact with you.
